My Life Repair Success Story – Norm Schoonebeek February 2011

I just finished my Life Repair Spiritual Counseling Service at the Long Island Church of Scientology on Thursday Feb 17^th, 2011.

I’m not sure where to start because there were so many processes we did and they all were very significant in helping me handle the major issues plaguing me emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Through the years I have been at the Long Island Church of Scientology I have occasionally asked what Life Repair was and never got the details. I was typically told it was introductory auditing.

In a way, I’m glad that’s all I was told because not having all of the details allowed me to just experience it rather than analyze it to death beforehand and also saved me probably hundreds of foolish hours of trying to self-audit myself through the 5-6 years I’ve been waiting to get the ok to receive auditing.

We started first with PTS handlings which is looking at people or groups that may be causing suppression, antagonism or counter-intention against the person receiving the auditing or counseling. This is handled so that the auditing goes smoother and the person can have their attention of the auditing rather than on the stress they feel from being PTS (PTS is Potential Trouble Source).

This alone was a very beneficial process as it helped me to handle situations and relationships that I could not handle or understand without the help of the auditor or the simple Scientology technology designed by L. Ron Hubbard for it.

Just this alone put me in a state of being of feeling much less stress, nervousness and worry.

Then we started “getting my rudiments in”. The rudiments are the 3 other main conditions that can distract a person from getting the full benefit of the auditing processes and so are handled before each auditing session.

The 3 conditions are: 1- ARC breaks which are breaks or upsets the person has with other people regarding their affinity, reality (agreement) and communication, with the person. 2- Present Time Problems- problems a person is having right now in their life 3- Overts and Withholds – Overts are actions the person believes he or she shouldn’t have done and Withholds are those overts they are not willing to tell the auditor about. Having withholds with the auditor prevents the person from getting in full communication with the auditor during the auditing session which is necessary  for the auditing session to be effective and successful.

Getting the rudiments in each day at the beginning of the auditing or spiritual counseling session was worth the price of the service alone. It handled so much of my basic problems with relationships with people, my present time problems and with feelings of shame, regret and guilt that just wouldn’t go away on their own, without the help of the auditor.

The main parts of the auditing were wonderful and beyond words as far as how helpful they were to me. Having read all of the Scientology BASICS books and having listened to all of the BAISCS lectures, there were many processes that I had read or heard about and it was exciting and thrilling to finally be able to run those processes and experience them myself.

I have to say that as beneficial as it was to read or hear about them in the BASICS, that cannot compare by a fraction to the benefits of actually doing them. It’s kind of like the difference between the pleasure of watching a race car driver drive a Ferrari on a track versus actually getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari and racing it yourself.

Also I have full, unwavering certainty that having “done” the BASICS, I was able to get at least 3X’s the spiritual gain, benefits and life improvement than if I had no education of Dianetics and Scientology.

Another area that was greatly helped was in my 2^nd Dynamic which deals with sex and family. This is a very spiritually “aberrated” or degraded dynamic for people on earth as there is constantly a deluge of false data in the media about it and the history of man on earth is strewn with suppression, cruelty, slavery and stupidity about this dynamic.

There was so much emotional charge released- grief, shame and hopelessness amongst others, on this dynamic, that the help on this alone would have been worth the service fee.

There were many processes we did that I was not familiar with and they were a delightful surprise and amazing in helping me blow tons of grief and despair emotional “charge”.

There were several times when I experienced moments of my actually being a spiritual being rather than feeling that I am just a body. Some of those experiences are what is called in Scientology as going “exterior” or experiencing being outside of the body.

In the final session I remember telling the auditor that the cognitions and experiences I was having reminded me of experiences of feeling my spiritual nature and freedom when I was studying Buddhism with the main difference being that Scientology provided exact procedures to help a person attain those experiences as compared to Buddhist techniques which were much more vague and hit-or-miss.

At that time I didn’t know what the EP or End Phenomena of the Life Repair service was supposed to be, so I wasn’t sure if I had finished the service but I remember when I walked out of the auditing room, back to the main lobby of the Long Island Church of Scientology, I felt so different and relieved of the negative thoughts and energies that had been plaguing me for years.

I kept saying to myself, “I feel like I’ve been reborn!”

Sure enough, when I came back for the next session 2 days later, I was told I had completed the Life Repair Service.

I can’t thank the staff at the Long Island Church of Scientology enough for all they did to make this possible. There was a lot of work by many staff members and those staff members from other Scientology Churches to make it possible for me to receive this Service since I had a lot of “messes” in my life to straighten out before I could receive the service.

There will never be a way for me to thank my auditor Marie enough for her expertise, love, understanding and compassion. Without her remarkable “beingness” and skills I’m not sure I would have had all the gains I did.

Thanks go also to the other auditors Anna and Christine who helped to also make this possible and helped prepare me for my “rocketship ride” to having my life repaired and saved.

When I think of how little the Life Repair costs in comparison to the benefits I have received, it humbles me to know that L. Ron Hubbard was caring enough and willing to make such a powerful and effective spiritual counseling process available to anyone.

It is literally a priceless service and having experienced my wins I would without hesitation have paid well over 10X the price of this service and would still feel I would never be able to repay Marie, her parents who provided her support to be trained at Flag for 2 years, and the other Long Island Church of Scientology staff for all they have done to help me have a life worth living again.
